Adaptive roller shutters are designed specifically for existing buildings, as they can be fitted on to windows already in place. A characteristic feature of this system is an aluminium box and runners, which are mounted into the runners attached to the wall or window frame and a service cover (flap giving an access into the box), which is always on the outside. The roller box is not visible from inside the room so there is no need for extra thermal insulation.

Adaptive roller shutters can be divided into: RAS - Adaptive roller shutters Standard, RAK - Adaptive roller shutters Comfort and RAR - Adaptive roller shutters Round-Line.

- the most popular type of adaptive roller shutter
- a service cover bent at 45 degrees, opened from outside from the front of the box
- the box completely visible from the outside
- the boxes available in six heights: 125 mm, 137 mm, 150 mm, 165 mm, 180 mm and 205 mm, the boxes with the heights: 150 mm, 165 mm, 180 mm and 205 mm are available with rolled mosquito net

Installation of the roller-shutter into the bay, opening mechanism output position B, installation of runners on the window frame.

A reversed installation of the roller-shutter into the bay, opening mechanism output position C, installation of angled runners on the wall inside the bay; depth of the bay greater than depth of the roller-shutter box +20mm.

Opening mechanism output can be placed in three different areas A, B or C depending on the type of installation. Height of the roller (H) equals depth of the roller B.

Depending on your need the armour final strips of the roller shutter systems can be made of: - high impact PVC - aluminium filled up with polyurethane foam - press-formed aluminium ( T ) without foam, used for shutters with increased resistance to burglary The armour final strips are available in the following sizes and types : - MINI PVC 37 mm - MAXI PVC 52 mm - MINI ALU 37 mm - MINI ALU 39 mm - basic - MINI ALU 45 mm - MAXI ALU 52 mm - MINI ALU / T 40 mm - press-formed

- the boxes available heights: 137 mm, 165 mm, 180 mm and 205 mm, the boxes with the heights: 165 mm, 180 mm and 205 mm are available with rolled mosquito net

Installation of the roller-shutter under the lintel on widows extensions, opening mechanism output position B, installation of runners on to the window frame.

The opening mechanism output position is A. Total depth (C) (including flush mounting strip) equals depth of the box (B) + 30mm.
